About Me.

I'm Shannon McIntyre Consolino. For over a decade, I’ve worked to strengthen communities through strategic leadership in the nonprofit sector. As a grant writing consultant, I combine technical expertise with a passion for helping organizations fulfill their mission, grow their impact, and secure sustainable funding.

With a background in behavioral science and advanced degrees in applied and organizational psychology, I help nonprofits tell their story in ways that inspire funders and drive results. Whether writing federal or private proposals or supporting broader capacity-building efforts, my work is rooted in trauma-informed, equity-centered principles that highlight the people behind the programs.

Why I Do This Work.

My career started in direct service and evolved into executive leadership, where I witnessed how many nonprofits struggle to secure and sustain funding—despite delivering life-changing work.  Throughout my career, I've learned how effective storytelling, innovation, and resource alignment can literally save lives. My experiences have shaped my belief: every impactful nonprofit needs strong infrastructure, and every strong program needs a strategically written, mission-aligned grant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"Shannon is more than a grant writer—she’s a strategist. She helped us articulate our mission in a way that connected deeply with funders. Thanks to her, we secured critical funding for a new program we’d been struggling to launch."

My Approach

I approach every project with a deep respect for the mission, values, and people behind the work. My consulting is rooted in trauma-informed care, equity, and collaboration—recognizing that effective grant writing and organizational growth must be grounded in trust, clarity, and shared purpose.

I don’t just write grants—I listen, strategize, and partner with organizations to build capacity, align resources, and tell their story in a way that inspires action. Whether I’m supporting a single proposal or developing long-term funding strategies, I bring a balance of big-picture thinking and attention to detail. My goal is always to help nonprofits not only secure funding but create sustainable systems that support lasting impact.

With every engagement, I aim to be a thoughtful, empowering partner—someone who can offer structure and insight while staying flexible to your unique needs and challenges.
